navigation throughout. Within Expert Mode, Game Clone offers
advanced options to manipulate the copy further.
Game
Copier Ease of Setup:
Reviews & Rating 5.0
The installation
of Game Clone was simple and straight forward. Very easy installation
and setup!.
Game
Copier Feature Set:
Reviews & Rating 3.0
Game Clone
has virtual drives which means you can run four separate drives
at once. The virtual drives had difficulty playing games protected
by SecuROM. This is the reason for the low "Features Set"
score in our review. Game Clone does offer an ATIP Hide function.
Due to its inability to burn games to disc, Game Clone is
unable to create backup copies for console gaming systems
like XBox and PlayStation.
Quality
of Game Copy:
Reviews & Rating 5.0
All of
the backup copies we made could play in the virtual drive
and worked flawlessly.
Game
Copier Protection Removal:
Reviews & Rating 3.5
Game Clone
does an adequate job overcoming most protections, but can't
fully overcome the SecuROM protection with its current virtual
drives. GameClone has not improved on it's removal abilities,
so it will be interesting to watch how Game Clone stacks up
against future protections.
Game
Copier Guides & Help:
Reviews & Rating 3.0
The game
copier software is sold by AXT
Unlimited while Barking Fish provides support for Game
Clone via their website in the form of a one-question FAQ
and email support. We were disappointed in the fact that Game
Clone doesn't come with a manual and the addition of such
would greatly increase the product's usability
Game
Copier Summary:
Game Clone
by Barking Fish is a decent program, but has some issues that
need to be addressed before it can be a true winner in the
game copy software market. If you really like games, we'd
suggest a more comprehensive software package like BlindWrite
or CloneCD.
