Game
Copier Ease of Use:
Reviews & Rating 4.0
GameDrive
has simple navigation and design that can be easily learned
by people new to the concept of virtual drives.
Game
Copier Ease of Setup:
Reviews & Rating 4.5
We had
no problems while installing GameDrive. During installation,
GameDrive asks you how many virtual drives you'd like to create,
allowing you to play several games simultaneously which is
a nice feature.
Game
Copier Feature Set:
Reviews & Rating 3.0
GameDrive
doesn't offer as many features as many of the top products
do, as it is a virtual drive, not a CD/DVD burner program.
You can only create images (full copies of the game stored
on your hard drive) with this program, not backup discs.
As with most other game copy software, third party applications
are necessary to copy and play most new games, whether through
patches or emulation.
Quality
of Game Copy:
Reviews & Rating 5.0
With GameDrive,
the quality of copy is fully dependent on how well the image
was made and if that image plays in the program's virtual
drive. All the games we loaded into the program's virtual
drive played flawlessly.

Copier Protection Removal:
Reviews & Rating 3.0
You cannot
make backup copies of console games, like PS2 and XBox games,
with GameDrive because you can't play a console game image
with virtual drive. As for emulating PC games, GameDrive does
a good job with earlier versions of both Safedisk and SecuROM,
but fails to work with more current game copy protections.
Game
Copier Guides & Help:
Reviews & Rating 4.5
GameDrive
has useful help files, which can be quickly accessed in the
program. Within these files are manuals and tutorials that
walk you through the GameDrive features and options. Available
on FarStone's website are a list of games and details on what
protections are used on each game, FAQs and a support telephone
number for non-technical issues. A unique service offered
by FarStone is a support ticket system, which they use to
handle support issues. To use this, though, you must first
register.
Game
Copier Summary:
Although
GameDrive by FarStone is much more detailed than virtual drives
that come on other game copy programs, it serves the same
purpose overall, while emulating fewer games. If you're a
serious gamer, we'd suggest a more comprehensive software
package like BlindWrite
or CloneCD.
